Under the High patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) in Marrakesh presents the exhibition Flying Over Africa at Gallery Bab Rouah in the framework of the event L’Afrique en Capitale (Africa in Capital). Flying Over Africa, through paintings, sculptures, photographs and installations, represents 14 countries of the continent. From Malick Sidibé and Moké to the portraits of Leila Alaoui, Djamel Tatah and Marie Wolfs as well as installations by Mabunda, Yamou and Hazoumè made of recycled materials, Flying Over Africa highlights traditions and symbols of the continent.
