OASIS Festival – MACAAL Lounge
A museum at the heart of the festival

On the occasion of the Oasis Festival’s 4th edition, MACAAL is exhibiting at the Fellah Hotel!
At the invitation of the festival, MACAAL sets up for three days in the hotel’s sports hall to create an ephemeral lounge offering festival-goers an authentic artistic experience.
Through a selection of artworks from the MACAAL collection and the Lcc Program, Flying over Africa explores the creation of Morocco and the African continent. The exhibition presents a rich and diversified panorama of contemporary artistic expressions of the continent and its diaspora. Through paintings, sculptures, photographs, videos and installations, the works on display dialogue and vibrate in unison to the rhythm of African colours.
For the occasion, the MACAAL Shop also invests the space and offers a selection of creations by Moroccan and sub-Saharan creators (Togo, Senegal, Cameroon and South Africa), MACAAL branded products as well as a basket bar, an area reserved for customizing baskets.
Every day, a cultural programme (workshops, round tables, concerts and performances) is offered to visitors in order to bring these spaces to life.

Visit the MACAAL Shop to discover a selection of designers celebrating the continent’s know-how and participate in our two workshops: create your own raffia bag at our Basket Bar by SOME or add colour to your outfit with turbans and scarves at Cover Your Head, Open Your Mind (every day from 4 pm to 10 pm).
