In line with its desire to transmit, share and disseminate contemporary African art, MACAAL launched in 2017 – in parallel with the Museum’s semi-permanent exhibitions – the MACAAL Lab, a programme of workshops promoting contemporary artistic practices and taking place each time in the presence of a guest artist. These workshops allow participants to approach the process of creating a work, its realization as well as the use of new technologies in art.
